Have a hybrid helles/Munich lager/cali steam beer that I have recently made using Wyeast California Lager yeast.
Yesterday, I was in the middle of racking my beer into secondary, when all my friends started coming over. Needless to say, I didn't have time to go through my usual yeast washing routine.
Instead, I simply dumped all of the yeast slurry, trub, and a little residual beer into two 1.5pint jars. they are currently sitting in the fridge.
My question is, should I go through the trouble to further wash the yeast? Or is it OK to just store these the way they are until I want to use them again and make a starter per usual?
Thanks!
