Have just finished fermenting my first lager and am about to lager it. I was wondering what the consensus was on bottle carbing before the lagering. I'm worried about having the yeast able to finish the job after lagering if I bottled afterward. Thoughts?

I've brewed a bunch of lagers over the years, always lager before bottling and have never had a batch that didn't carb. I've never added yeast at bottling either.

Lager first if you'd like with no worries.

My last lager batch had trouble carbonating in the bottle. I eventually dumped it into a keg and force carb'ed it. It was so good the 2.5 gallon batch didn't last the entire holiday weekend.
