Picked up a few more kegs and have been putting off the task of having the lids cut off, our first time was hard, long, and dirty work.

Had a client who has all sorts of cool metal fabrication tools. Took 3 more kegs by there, and he cut the lids off in just a few minutes.

I posted for our collective enjoyment, I thought was pretty cool..

Plasma is the way to go in my book Been using one for the last few years.

Suggestion hearing the top hit bottom I would recommend filling the keg with water almost to the top down about three inch's. Saves from having to clean off the blow by slag that likes to stick to bottom and sides.

Nice video

God Bless

Like Swagman said, keg filled with water is the best way to plasma the top.
Eliminates sticking slag, and all that smoke to clean up.

I did mine with a plasma cutter... Second time I ever used one... Wasn't too bad cleaning up the slag and whatnot... SOOOOOOOO much easier than the angle grinder I used on the second keg (lost my access to the plasma cutter)....
