Greetings from Western PA!

Hello everyone! I'm 22, a single parent of a 3-year-old son, and I LOVE to sit down to a good wine now and again, with a few peach jello shots.

I learned about Mead on an online game-community called SecondLife. I have a friend who plays a Satyr, and through him I learned of Mead. I always roleplay drinking it....heavily...but I never tried it before. Found the Mead forum on here and now I'm thinking about trying some and maybe brewing my own. I hope to learn enough to get a decent gallon batch some day!

We have some expert mead makers here so you can get lots of good advice. I would suggest reading The Complete Meadmaker by Schramm if you're looking for a great reference book.
