How's this for brewing small batches?

I just picked this up and thought that it would be good for small batches. It's a 1 gallon pot. I'll just use a one gallon nylon mesh bag inside of it. Anyone else use something like this? At first glance it looks like it will work pretty well. Time to start experimenting.

Probably 1 gallon experiments. Also, I don't have a big enough fridge for lagering anything larger than a small jug. I might get a Mr Beer fermenter and make small batches of pilsner. No sense in using my main setup if I can only make a gallon or two.
