Maltodextrin aka ??

Is Maltodextrin knonw by any other names? I can't find it in my brew recipe software.

you might be thinking of dextrose - aka corn sugar, priming sugar.

malto is different.

Here's a link to wiki article; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maltodextrin Doesn't seem to be another name for it,save maybe for a trade name.

I think i might have figured it out. Since it is mostly unfermentable, it is not showing up in the database as a fermentable.

Bingo! Yes,maltodextrin is only about 5% fermentable at best. So it would be listed as un-fermentable. forgot that one at the time.
