That's what I said (too much of an oak taste) months ago when I tried it and I got blasted here. F that noise! Overrated ass beer.

Yup and we all give a foook what tit baby thinks go chop some wood and drink your gandhi bot CRACK! Pfffft good day sir. And maybe you can tell us how much you like german vehicles one more time. :-D

My Vanilla Pumpkin Porter. I'm almost ready to chase after the kid...

Jackie O's Mystic Mama.

Apparently, it's brewed with a copious amount of pungent hops. All I know is it tastes A-OK.

Happy Halloween! Have a couple brews chilling I'm insanely excited about.

I've found out there are tiny little printing presses that aren't very expensive and would be perfect for beer labels. My wife is going to be so excited when I buy her one she won't even care it's for labels.

Yeungling with the wife's homemade pizza, watching ghostbusters before taking my boy out trick or treating. Love halloween

I found a very Halloween looking beer you sent in the cellar. It would seem a shame not to drink it tonight!

Hello - you should get a ticket to Raleigh Rare & Vintage Beer Tasting. Not cheep, but it's the best event in NC. I've thought about going, but 4.5 hr drive each way, tix, and hotel makes for a very expensive ticket.

Do it! I have the problem of collecting beers and never drinking them. But my brother and his fiancé are coming to help/learn to brew on Saturday and they love good beer, so I may dip into the cellar :)

I'm having another homer beer (yeungling)

Well I got a hold of building owner. He wants 20% more than we were thinking and he's set on it, but it's still worth it. Has a clay floor basement for barrels. Needs gutted, needs a roof. I need it, just gotta make it happen whatever it takes.

Best of luck, not a bad lookin place:mug:

Trick or Treat was Tuesday in my neighborhood. 327 trick or treaters at our door in 90 minutes.

Glad I was roaming the neighborhood with my own trick or treaters rather than handing out all that candy.

My boys made out ok

We have 2 little ones under three so going out was not an option, but we do have a lot of tricks in our neighborhood and I guess they r treaters too if you know what I mean!:)

I know kickstarters are not allowed here, but I am sure that there are several here who would be happy to help you get started. Or at least buy you a few beers to help you ease the pain.

And I am spending the night in with horror tv/movies and attempting to kill this keg of apfelwein. Tomorrow, The Flash runs again.

I want one for my own basement!

Sounds like progress--congrats on that. How long has it been on the market? Something tells me he will budge on the price ...

Sounds great! Good luck man!

Tell em that 20% should go to a finders fee since you couldn't even read the numbers!

I want to stay away from crowd sourcing if at all possible. I'm not against it if someone wants to go that route, but it's not something we want to do if we can avoid it. If we do buy the building, it will be a long road ahead as I'll be doing nearly all the work myself. I'm sure we'll have merch online well before we start brewing. ;)

I wish that was true. You didn't talk to the guy. He's only 60, but he's from a different generation. He said he's firm and he means it. He's not even really interested in selling it, sounded like he's retiring soon and has ideas for it. It's possible he'd take a few thousand less than he's asking, but there's now way he'll come down more than 5 and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't do that. Thanks for all the well wishing guys. I'm freakin stressed out. The plan was to lease a space, not to buy, but this one has so much going for it. I was pretty much planning to not doing anything until after market season next year, kill myself through the summer, and then by next september have the cash to get everything all at once. This would be a whole different ball of wax. My wife has talked about getting a 2nd full time nursing job so I could work full time on remodeling etc. I hate the idea because I know it will damn near kill her, I've worked more than 80hrs every week and she was pretty close between the farm and nursing last year and it's not healthy and very hard to maintain for months or longer. Gah.

Brown saison here. Glad I threw out the rest of it. Anyone know if a brewery has started using a lot of crystal hops for something or did the price just jump because grower's pulled so much acreage? My buddy who brews for work told me that the fancy stuff is going to drop in price, but the older varieties are all going to go up because growers have pulled up so much of the latter to plant the former.

Haha, good call. I deciphered the faded sign properly, but also got street number and owner's name from city to be sure.

Edit: Wow, I seemed to substitute a couple words the first time around.

My daughter came back to visit us, she's been working (& living of course) in Germany now for about two years. She brought back a couple of jems and this was one of them:

NOLA Mecha Hopzilla
Sent to me by my brother who lives there for my birthday. Pretty good, centennial hops give it a nice edge.
