I was digging around the North Country Malt Supply website and managed to get to their online catalog. You can access it here:http://www.northcountrymalt.com/home.php?menu=true
They have very low prices when you buy in large (55+ lbs) quantities, and at least for me, shipping on a 55lb bag is around 20 bucks or less.
I found a pilsen malt from the Canada Malting Company for $1.01 per pound in a 1 lb bag, or 29.70 for a 55 lb bag. That's dirt cheap right there. It works out to be less than $1/lb shipped. Check it out: http://www.northcountrymalt.com/product.php?productid=412&cat=205&page=1
Has anyone used this malt before? Is it good? I mean, I doubt I would notice a tremendous difference given the relatively small batch sizes I brew, but I'd just like to know whether or not it's terrible. Seems like it's a really good bargain, much cheaper than the LHBS.
