Probably a dumb question, but do you try and scrape the hops off the side of the boiling pot after they have stuck to the sides or just leave them alone

I usually scrape them back in. I was always told that they can't do any good stuck to the side of the pot.

im tempted to say i leave them alone to keep this nice pattern going but i too scrape them and put them back in the wort. i dont think it makes a huge difference either way i just do it cuz i get bored sometimes and its kinda fun to get it all. especially on full 6-7 gallon boils with a lot of hop additions.

also its a little OCDish moment to make sure i get the most out of my hops.

I've noticed in the last couple of batches I've brewed that the hops have not stuck to the side of the pot. I think I'm just stirring a little more after the addition than I used to. Its weird though, nothing on the side during a 2ipa. not worried.
