I'm trying to setup a portable draft system and have a bunch of regulators, and gauges lying around for co2 and nitrogen, i was wondering if you can use any regulator and gauges for beer dispensing, or are the regular beer stuff everyone sells special in some way and you should only use those for dispensing?

thanks in advance!

I have seen people make portable beer dispensing systems using a regulator sold to power pneumatic tools.

As long as you can set the output pressure to about 12psi, and will work with CO2, you should be good to go. I am pretty sure I have even seen a system running on a paintball regulatoir.

For on the go, I use one of the paintball set-ups. It is easy to lug around and you can get the 20oz tank filled just about anywhere.

For home, I use a reg old one I picked up at a welding supply house.
