I just brewed a Tumbler Clone and wrote a blog about it.

Check it out.

We've been working on this for a few years, here is a good thread: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f12/clone-sn-tumbler-help-192070/

That being said, the 2012 batch was not as good as previous years IMHO, I found the smoked signature quite lacking, and the bitterness was a bit off compared to last years.

As it is, it is their recipe and as such can make it as they wish, but in my opinion the 2011 batch was way better. Enjoy the brew!

Do you think this year's batch is more bitter or less bitter than last year's?

I just updated my blog post.

Its very similar to Tumbler. My version is much bolder. The smoke is just slightly more noticeable and the body is slightly fuller.

Next time I would do a better job adjusting the recipe to my system (OG too high). I will also probably reduce the smoke malt to 1.5 lbs (maybe 1 lb).
