I have two sour ales I want to enter but am not sure what category to put them in. Any thoughts?
1. A prickly pear sour ale. It's a blonde ale aged on prickly pears. The fruit is very mild (i don't even taste it but other have).
2. A cherry sour brown ale. Tastes almost like a Jolly Rancher, with a perfect mix of sweet and sour (but not sweet like a Flander's red or brown).
Both of these are similar in style to a Russian River sour, so more lactic and less sweet than flanders, some funk but not much. They don't really fit any of the sub categories but I need to pick one.
What to do, what to do?
Thanks
