Has anyone ever used one of these stockpots as a boil kettle? I'm using a 6 Gallon aluminum stockpot right now, but want to move to all grain so I need a bigger pot. Thanks for your help

When I first started I used a cheap pot similar to that for about 3 brews.
If you ding it against anything, the enamel chips and it is downhill from there.
It was not real easy to clean after being on a turkey fryer either.

i would really stay away from enameled pots. the enamel is very brittle and if you chip it the underlying steel pot pours out rust and its not fixable.

if you want to save some money, look for aluminum pots. if you can afford $80 or so, there are stainless steel pots in that size range.

Thanks for the help guys, I'm really just exploring my options at this point. Speaking of the stainless, I saw these on amazon as well. The reviews seem to say that it's an 18/0 steel. Would that be alright for a BK, or should I look for something else?
