I have switched from Extract to AG, converted to kegging, next up is yeast culturing. So I am brand new to this, I have read most of the articles I could find on washing and culturing yeast and really just have this one question: Is it going to be fine to use washed yeast from a Milk Stout (S-05 yeast was used) to pitch into a Pliny Clone or is this yeast only going to be good for stouts now?
I only ask because I feel like the yeast "get used to" the environment they were thriving in (a stout) and essentially become more of a stout yeast rather than the S-05 they started out as. That is completely speculative on my part though, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
