I had a productive day today building a 20 foot counter flow chiller and a 10 gallon mash tun. I could have saved maybe ten dollars, but I bought two extra fittings for the CFC not called for in the DIY section of this forum because of what Home Depot had in stock, so I had to improvise a bit. I also added a 1/4 inch thick thick washer/spacer behind the ball valve because four 5/8" washers.spacers were not enough to tighten the ball valve assembly. It was pretty easy! I used the directions posted in the DIY section for both of these projects. Question: Is twenty feet an adequate length for a counter flow chiller, because Home Depot only had 20 foot lengths of 3/8" copper tubing?
