Where I live they both chlorinate and fluoridate the water.
I have a Pur water filter that I got at CostCo to help get most stuff out of the water.
What I have been doing in the past is pouring filtered water into my brew kettles then boiling the water for about 45 minutes...
I made a batch of beer last night, but I didn't have the time to get 7 gallons of water boiling (take a LONG time) and let if boil for 45 minutes.
So I just filtered the water, brought it to 160deg and threw my grain bag in.
Aparantly the Pur water filter willg et the chlorine out.
So do I need to worry about some off flavors in this batch or is the Pur water filter sufficient?
