So I went on the lagunitas tour today and at the end I was asking the guide some questions and smelling the experimental hop they were using. He told I could take a handful home with me so I grabbed about an ounce. My problem is I am not sure how to use them. It is not enough for a full batch of single hop, so I am wondering when to add them to a simple pale to get the most from them.

All flame out? All dry hop? Split the difference?

That's plenty of hops if you are a fan of session brews!
Make a small 1.030 or so baby pale or blonde and use your mysterious goodness!

If you only have 1 ounce for a 1 gallon batch, I would split the difference.

Don't waste the hops by boiling them for any time at all. I would add half ounce after flame-out, when the wort is not steaming anymore - maybe around 180degs or so. Dry hop with the other 1/2ounce, and it should be good.

Sounds good. Think Ill go with the simple pale. Finish with half, dry with the other half. Thanks guys.
