I went and it was OK but not worth the 7+ hour round trip. Especially since they didnt have one of the Lambics ready. I did find some nice brews at Crown Liquors though that made the trip somewhat worth while.
I ended up selling my gray ticket for a "right" to purchase a bottle of Uplands Sour Reserve. I love me some sours but to me that was beyond the bounds of decency. I felt like my face was going to implode in upon itself. Woof. My favorite there was probably Goose Island's "Lolita". An absolutely perfect geuze style sour IMO.
One other thing I mentioned to the organizer that would have been nice would have been some crackers or something to munch on to clear my pallet. They went to all the trouble of providing a metric ton of great cheese, meats, and slices of fruit but no starches... Really?
