Can anyone share some tried and true belgian wit recipes? I need a solid base wit for a lambic im gonna brew..thank you
really can't go wrong with Biermuncher's SWMBO Slayer AKA Midwest Belgian Blonde AKA my BigHair Belgian Ale, which is actually the Midwest Belgian Blonde extract version
My recipe is scaled for 75% eff and 6 gallons:
5lbs pilsner
3lbs wheat malt
2lbs flaked wheat
0.5oz cascade at 60 and 5min
0.5oz each coriander and bitter orange peel at 10m
zest of 1 grapefruit at flameout
WLP400. Deeeeeelicious. A little more of a traditional wit than the SWMBO Slayer, which is more of a Belgian Blonde.
