Yesterday evening I got my rhizomes from DIY. Woo. I'll have to post some pictures but most of them already had some white shoots with pinkish tips coming off the sides. Last night, I potted my Cascade, Magnum, Mt. Hood and Sterling hops with care. I'll have to read up on some guides to see when they'll be ready for transplanting to the outdoor garden.
I try not to worry about the rhizomes. They'll be fine. Though I think brewers who will grow their own, myself included, do worry a little bit because they care so much about the process of making beer, even steps that'd be considered as mundane as growing a vine. The thing is, hops is a word that needs a capital "H" around here. We just care.
