Vorlauf Question????

Such a dumb Noob question but when your run your vorlauf do you pour that into the boil kettle or back into the mash tun?
I am mere weeks away from my first all-grain batch and trying to understand as much as I can.
 
Back into the mash tun. The whole point of the vorlauf (translated, more or less as "recirculation") is to take all the chunky bits from the first running and put 'em back into the mash, until the grain bed is established well enough to filter it out. When the wort runs clear it's time to transfer to the kettle.
