I am planning to get a 20 lb tank as a backup and use it to carb up some quick batches outside the keezer so that I don't have to fill the 5 too much. Now I'm not talking 30 psi. More like 60 psi. Is that too risky?:cross:

1. Chill your beer super cold
2. Set tank to 30
3. Tip keg on side on a towel with gas side down
4. Roll small quarter turns for 8 min
5. Let sit for an hour or a few minutes.
6. Drink beer
7. Fall down
8. Don't blow yourself up with 60 psi

I've force-carbed at room temp plenty of times at 30-40 psi with the rocking & rolling method and it certainly works. Are you talking about just letting it sit at 60psi for a day or so?
I was thinking let it hang out at 60 psi for 48 hours and then back to 30 and then check the head space pressure the next day to confirm it's done.
I'm just talking set and forget. I may chill first though. I think in the 40 or so hours it will take to go from 38F up to 65F, that 40 psi may be enough. I might try that.
