Hello all. I ordered a porter kit, and took just the basic yeast with it. I plan on going to the HBS and getting a white labs yeast. Which one would you recommend?

It depends on the final style you're looking for. I like an English porter. I prefer the WL-103 London Ale, or WL-005 British Ale yeast if you're going white labs. Adds to the maltiness and lets the hops come through. The British Ale yeast does make for a slightly clearer beer. Ask your local HBS at the counter. They're sure to steer you right.

Great! Will that also go well if I decide to add coffee, or chocolate, or, say fruit? Don't ask.about the fruit! Lol.
