1st homebrew comp I ever entered happened this weekend. 1st place in the stout category. Granted there were only 18 entries for the category, but I almost just pooped myself. Amped up!~
 
Hey guys.

Here's the recipe. I didn't have cocoa (or couldn't find it on beersmith)
but I added 3/4 a cup with 10 mins left in the boil as well as a 1/2 a cup to the bottling sugar at bottling. No ribbon for pics yet, the contest was halfway across the country =)

P.S. Don't pay attention to the fermentation schedule as well as the efficiency. I realized I was messing around with some stuff in Beersmith and didn't put it back. Did my normal 2 weeks in primary and a little over a week in 2ndary.
 
Great job! Recipe looks good, but one thing I did notice is that your total grain weight states 12lbs. I only see 11 lbs. Also the 2row starts as your second grain. What's the missing pound? Or is this just a typo?

Zeus, the only thing I can think of for the grain total was that this was a 2nd revision and I had changed the recipe slightly from the first time. Not sure what the dealio was with that. Maybe some error in BS that didn't update. No idea.
