This bottle I have says to use a whole vial per 5 gallons of yeast. LBHS told me to put the whole bottle knowing it was for 2.5 gallons. Is this correct? If I put in whole bottle, will it hurt/

Won't hurt a thing. Most of the time one vial is underpitching for a 5 gallon batch. Should be about right for 2.5.

It wont hurt. If anything, it will help. While the vial says that 1 vial is good for 5 gallons, it is usually the case that you want to grow more yeast cells by making a starter before pitching the yeast. So don't worry, it will be fine.

BTW, congrats on the big boy pants! I too came fron MR. BEER royalty! Nothing makes me happier than seeing brewers evolve.

LOL..Im 3 WEEKS in! Just bottled my Mr. Beer kit beer today and used the LBK as the fermenter for this one that I brewed tonight. Im so excited about this brew tonight, that I cant sleep. LOL.
