Got around to cracking this open tonight. I have enjoyed all over the Brooklyn offerings to this point so I was excited to try this one.
The nose still has a dominate bourbon characteristic, though the darker richer malts have started to reveal themselves as the brew warms. When I get to the taste I am thrown off. The flavors are all in line with what I expect though I am finding a rather strong dry white grape flavor. The flavor is not off putting but certainly does not fit with the beer as a whole. I have a 2009 bottle still waiting to be crack, curious if this flavor will reoccur.
Anyone else notice this flavor in Black OPS before?
