Is there any problem with having a 14" long element in a 15.25" diameter pot? I don't see why there would be besides having to work around it when cleaning. Can't think of any reason you'd need the element not super-close to the side of the pot, just trying to cover bases.
Bought a 5500W and would rather not downgrade to the 4500W.
