Only one girl in my life drinks beer all the others are wine drinkers. Was thinking about brewing a batch of one of those chocolate stouts just for the femine palate, but that may a bit "too thick". Any desert beers?
Pretty insulting title for this thread.
Agreed. Gender has nothing to do with taste for beer. All my lady friends are into craft brews and one of my former girlfriends is more of a hophead than I am!Pretty insulting title for this thread.
My favorite "girly beer" (10 gallons):
18 lbs two-row
4 lbs Munich Malt
1 lbs 12.0 oz Caramunich II (Weyermann)

2.00 oz Magnum [11.60 %] - Boil 60.0 min
1.00 oz Ahtanum [4.50 %] - Boil 20.0 min
1.00 oz Amarillo [9.50 %] - Boil 20.0 min
1.00 oz Simcoe [12.20 %] - Boil 20.0 min
1.00 oz Ahtanum [4.50 %] - Boil 10.0 min
1.00 oz Amarillo [9.50 %] - Boil 10.0 min
1.00 oz Simcoe [12.20 %] - Boil 10.0 min

no flameouts? wimp!
One of the things that irks me is when people want to show the way to others. Sure, it's great to share great beer finds with people in your life, but some people just don't like beer.

Oh Em Gee,,,,,insulting thread? I don't think so. And if you are insulted, Bee Ef Dee. I'm looking for a beer that is sweet with chocolate, or coffee or very fruity. Just want to find a beer that my significant others would enjoy. They like beer as much as I like wine.
Although the avatar may be confusing, if you haven't quite figured it out yet, one of our most active and highly thought of mods, is a kick ass brewer, who has a penchant for hop-bombs, and hockey, happens to be one of them "girly" types.
Oh Snap.....

A lot of those differences are ingrained culturally however, not biologically.Reality:
Men and women are different. One is not better than the other (well, I'd contend my wife is better than me...). Most of the women I know actually do prefer a certain style of beer over others. I'm not saying its ubiquitous, but I certainly don't take this tongue-in-cheek post offensively. Either did my wife.
Yooper- that recipe is gnarly... in a very goooood way
