Having a Dunkel I brewed a bit ago, not a fan of wheat beers but I keep trying them so I can learn to appreciate the taste and style...not working real well but I persist.

First time drinking a Lambic. Where has this been all my life.

Grabbed one of these to see if I might want to age some. Very interesting. Nice Saison aroma with subtle hints of fruit wood. Slightly smoked flavor. I enjoyed it.

Boddington's on nitro. I didn't like it at first, but now I love it! Next is a stout on nitro. It's gonna be a good day Tater....

2007 Samael's Oak Aged Ale

The aroma alone is quite orgasmic. Dark fruit, some leathery type aromas, strong malt and alcohol.

It's brown and opaque with some small hop particles, not floating, but suspended in the beer it's that thick. The head was about 1/2" at first but quickly dissipated into a small ring on foam on the edge of the glass.

It's ****in' thick. The alcohol warmth is hot, but not overbearing. Feels good in the mouth allowing you to get all the mellowed out flavors, but has a pleasing burn on the way down. It's pretty sweet, but not cloying. The malt character is definitely there and I would say the mouthfeel, on a scale of light to full bodied, is overflowing. I hope I'm still in my right mind after this 14.5% ABV monstrosity so I can enjoy some more beer.

I dont have a problem with this, for its abv-not bad. Weird,it has a historical element but not brewed to its element but yet its.... not too bad. Hmm.. Brasil. Kinda like it. Decent Black Ale, really. I kind of has a unique aroma/taste to it(maybe from the yeast?) Think Im picking up some english to this.

I see a lot of Weyerbacher around here, but I've never seen that. Any good?

It's ok. I've been passing them up for the last few months, I should probably look for a bottling date. Good flavor, lacking on the aroma.

Yeah, it sure does add up, as I learned at GABF. I need to attend more beer fests.

North coast Scrimshaw: Wow! I think Im becoming a real big Pilsner fan, thanks to this beer. With the help of my SS etched Lager glass. @ 4.4%-you cant get them much better than this, well maybe a few,but this is one of them. Bad ratings, but I disagree. Or maybe I just need to explore more pilsners. Id be happy to make a pilsner like this although I did make a nice pilsner, just overcarbed-it could be better- I dont know I only have 1 left now.

All praise sculpin! Gonna get into something dark now not sure though, Ten Fidy or Speedway, or the new Toxic Sludge from blue point in cans.. Guys what do yathink

At my local Brew pub, Dustbowl brewing. Started with a 4.6 hoppy session ale, then a smoked Bock holiday beer 6.6, and finishing with a Belgian Dark 9.6.

Didn't know anything about this at purchase except that it would be well hopped and delicious. Lagunitas has earned that kind of instant credibility and reputation, IMO. I still wish I could find some Brown Shugga somewhere around here. I can find almost every Lagunitas brew except that.

At least Wachusett puts out a consistently ****ty beer... Their winter ale is disgusting.

I'm also done with Newport Storm in general.
