I was thinking of getting one of these electric boiler/mash tuns but I don't really hear of anyone else using them. Are they any good? Not necessarily the model shown here - if anyone has advice on the best model to get that's helpful too.

I'm not sure what the prices are, but I would think it would be cheaper to just build your own. It's a pretty simple process from what I understand.

I've never used anything like it. From what I see though, it doesn't look like it's worth the price. The drain valve alone is cheap garbage and looks like it would be a pain to clean. If you ask me, it looks like it's nothing more than a modified percolator coffee maker...a no vote of confidence from me.
