Need input from people smarter than me, so let me know what you think :)

Kettles:
- Brewster Beacon 70l 3kw all-in-one kettle

- Klarstein 30l 3kw mash tun but I use as a HLT only for heating sparge water

Pumps:
- inside Brewster for re-circulation
- secondary used mostly for counter-flow chiller

I have an immersion chiller that is collecting dust and I had an idea to use it during mashing.
I would basically execute this: byo[dot]com/project/build-a-heated-mash-tun-projects/

Brewster pump recirculates as always from bottom to top of the grain basket.
+ Secondary pump recirculates hot water from Klarstein through the coil inside Brewster to have a more even temperature distribution during mash.
+ Even though I get minimal scorching at the bottom it should minimize that as well as it would be used less.
+ Additional help when ramping up temperatures between mash steps. Not so sure about this one.

I suppose, as the effect of this reverse HERMS is stability it doesn't make sense to have it submerged between the grain basket and outside kettle wall.
It should be inserted into the grains themselves, I think.

Does that sound like an overkill or a useless and unnecessary complexity for the sake of doing things?
Any potential caveats that I haven't thought about?
