Wife has a Aerogarden that provides good light, How long before may planting shall I start growing them indoors? I want them to have a great head start due to short Michigan growing season but I want them to be just small enough where they are still manageable to get into the ground.

Also, I live in crappy michigan and from what I gathered these 3 hops will work ok in this climate:

Magnum
Cascade
Willamette

Anyone up here have a bad or good experience with any of them??

Thanks!

You can put the rhizomes in the ground as soon as it is thawed. They will not emerge until the ground temp is above 40 degrees. Or start them in 6x6" pots outside . First year do not expect much, they need to establish their roots and crown. Cheers
