Hey folks,
So, last night I made up a starter and set it going on my stir plate. Everything was fine. . .

However, this morning it looked like nothing was happening. In the past I've seen more krausen by this point.

Should I be worried?

Thanks,
Chris

No there is no need to be worried, I have made many starters that have not produced a foamy kreaeusen at all, but I could see how much more opaque the starter had become over the course of 18-24 hours, and if it smells nice and yeastie, your starter should be tip-top.

+1. I often find that krausen appears and disappears very quickly on my starters, within 24 hrs most of the time. I'm sure it's fine.
