Poking around it looks like the MLT from MiniBrew comes with many of the fittings and ports ready, does anyone have experience using them for doing electric BIAB for 5 gallon batches?

My two concerns are

A) On 110v the heating element would max out at abt 2000w which could take a while to come to a boil, but I'm hoping that the insulated sides help that, and really anything under an hour would be okay with me. Also, the existing ports may not fit the heating element.

B) The MLT is not rated for boiling liquid or having a heating element so close to it. It is HDPE and I think I've seen other people putting using thick HDPE for brewing, right?

I like my five gallon batch size, but occasionally I do like to do higher gravity brews so if I do have a single vessel it needs to support a larger grain bill of 16lbs or so.
