Made a cream stout and the carbonation isn't consistent (conditioned almost 3 weeks). This is my 5th batch but the first time something went wrong. Used melted corn suger at the bottom of my bottling bucket. Should I have stirred?

Higher gravity takes longer to carb. What temp are you keeping them at?

The bigger the beer the longer the wait.... your temp is good try and keep it there, I had a IPA SG 1.072 bottled 1/19 is now just barely starting to carb up I'm trying another 12oz bottle in a few minutes I put 2 22oz in the fridge and will try them Sat. Give it a little time it'll be well worth it! Cheers :mug:

Very close this one was in the fridge five days so hopefully the 22oz'ers will be better

Thanks! Lets see what happens. The ones that are fully carbonated do taste great!

Nice looking stout is that straight from the bottle. Sry to hijack post. Haven't brewed a stout yet

I've had consistent carbonation by pouring the priming sugar mix into the bottom of the bottling bucket and letting it mix with the swirl of the beer being racked into it. I've also had inconsistent carbonation that way, even when the bottles have had plenty of time to carbonate. Now I've started racking the beer first until there is an inch or more in the bottling bucket, then pouring in the priming sugar mix and using the spoon that I mixed the sugar solution I gently stir it in a bit more. Now my bottles all carbonate the same.
