so i moved to California, and there are fruit trees in my back yard. they are sapote. i really good fruit, like a cross between a pear and a cherry, but not as sweet as either. i want to make a cider out of it, because i have an abundance of it and it's about to go bad. oh, and it's free! anyone have any experience with it?

Never even heard of it. Press some or Juice some or boil some up and see what kind of SG you can get out of them. Fun experiment at least.
