Perfect brewday yesterday..............UNTIL I went for the yeast. LOL Oh well. Go get some more today. Wyeast smack pack, that went NOWHERE!!! Maybe it is time to start growing my own.

I hate that! That's one of the reasons I keep a stash of dry in the fridge at all times, though. I've had to use it when my smack pack didn't swell or my starter didn't start. One time I opened some washed pacman yeast that I was planning on using the next day, and the smell almost knocked me over- so nottingham went in the brew.

Just because it doesn't swell doesn't mean its bad. I smacked one 8 hours before pitching... no swelling, but it took off after 60 hours.
