This cant be good right? making a starter for my doubel..... and its on the stir plate minding its own business... i come home from work, with amess :(

why does this happen? is it a problem? should i just hit it wti fermcap?
 
there wasn't enough head space in your starter jug. RDWHAHB. you have nothing to worry about. just wipe it off and put it somewhere where the mess isn't going to be an issue.
