Currently making my first starter using Lallemand Novalager. Used Brewers friend for the DME quantities. Using stir plate and shaking (stir plate not working well with size of flask). Currently 30 hours in and this is the status. Should I cool now or wait for longer? Problem it’s warm here in Queensland and not sure if that doing more harm than good.

Did you ever see krausen (foam) on top? You can give it a shake and hold your phones flash light to the surface and see of any co2 bubbles are still coming up.

That’s a good size starter so you should see some signs of fermentation. My 3L starters take at least 2 days before I put them in the fridge.
