Ever since I lived in Yellowstone I have been in love with Moose Drool. It was my beer of choice on those lovely payday/nights down the mountain in Gardner Montana. Happy hour at the Blue Goose Bar with pitchers for 4$ was always a blast too.
I looked at the breweries web site and they were a bit cryptic. They listed the ingredients as pale, caramel, chocolate and whole black malts with the hops being Liberty, Kent and Willamette. OG: 13 plato and 5.3% ABV.
I was wondering if anyone has tried to make this beer before and if so what was successful/unsuccessful. I've only made one porter and I like it but I think its a bit bitter. I loved the way Big Sky brewing balanced the Malt in Moose Drool.
I'm an partial mash/ extract brewer so any advice is great.
