So ive been tasting a lot of double bastards and barleywines lately and i arriving at double bastard being a hoppy barleywine, maybe some dark crystal too. Anyone else agree?
 
I can say that the 10% Special B to the 90% 2-row really does impart a unique flavor. I was surpised how far a little Special B goes.
 
It really got the flavor big when I had a year or two old bottle of the Double Bastard 3L. To be fair, I hadn't had Double Bastard in a while beforehand to compare vs aging.
