Tasting Notes
Light, fruity, easy drinking.
I wanted make a South African brown ale, using some of our hops. I'm not sure how widely available they are, but any South Africans reading this should be able to get hold of them fairly easily.

Grain:
3.65kg Pale Malt
1kg Caramel/Crystal Malt (150EBC)
0.15kg Chocolate Malt (900EBC)

Mash at 66.7C for 60 minutes.

Hops:
25g US4/78 (Southern Passion) @ 30mins (8.2% AA)
25g US4/78 @ 5 mins (8.2% AA)

Nottingham Ale Yeast.

The result is a light, fruity brown ale, which goes down really well in summer.
