In order to get proper room in my kegerator I had to move the thermostat/lightbulb box anyway and relocate it. I spliced in about an extra 5 in of wire as well to make this easier and removed the bulb as it would stay on all the time due to where the unit now sits. Since i have a draft tower, Im looking to build a fan cooling unit and was wondering if anyone on here as spliced directly into the electrical of the fridge to do this vs needing another power outlet to plug into.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Adam

I'm just thinking wouldnt it be easier to buy yourself a splitter for the mains so you save yourself lots of splicing and messing with electricals, also you dont take space away from your other appliances as the splitter takes 1 plug socket
