I've read everything I can find on the debate about using aluminum for a boil kettle, and understand that the prejudice against it is probably just that -- a prejudice -- but let's say for the sake of argument that I want to upgrade to stainless, is there any possible reason why an aluminum pot couldn't be repurposed as an HLT?
