Gelatin question! for clarification

batch no. 17 and I lost my Irish moss so i wasnt able to add it to the boil. I have heard some say to use gelatin in the secondary or at bottling/kegging.

Can I get this at a grocery store?

Is fruit pectin the same? (I have some)

Can I boil and add to secondary after racking? or should the beer be racked on top of the gelatin?
 
Go to the grocery store and get unflavored gelatin.. pectin is not the same.

Knox unflavored is likely the most common.. but, there are "generics".
