not enough pliney the elder beer in seconday!

...so i but my pliney the elder in its secondary but i came up about a gallon short because of all the trub.

the only think i could think of was tank my extra co2 take and run co2 through the hose (not in the beer of course but right above it) so that all the oxygen would get out and there would be no oxidation.

Does this sound like it would work
 
You'll always want to purge secondary/kegs of oxygen to prevent oxidation, especially with very hoppy beers like Pliny. Oxidized DIPA's are absolutely horrible to taste, use lots of CO2!
 
ok. took the airlock off and purged with even more co2 to make sure no oxygen was is in. now the waiting game i guess. 2 weeks is gonna kill me.
