Tomorrow I am going to be buying my top off water from the grocery store for the first time and I am just wondering if you guys recommend I boil and cool it or do most of you just add it as is. I assume it will be Poland Spring or Deer Park.

I generally freeze it then add to help cool down wort. I never boil. Seems to work ok.

Depends. I've seen people pick their nose and then fondle the spigot on the bulk filtered water machine at grocery stores.

but if you're buying the pre-packed 1 gallon jugs, that stuff should be safe enough.

I've always just added it. Boiling can't hurt since it will sterilize and removed oxygen. Its just another step thats not totally necessary...

thanks for your responses. just adding the spring water beats going through the extra step of boiling tap water and letting it cool.
