This may sound like a rediculous question - but is it ok to pull the little red cap off top of the airlock to smell what the beer smells like - (or maybe smell what the gas smells like) I did it today cause it was killing me with no smell ni the secondary glass carboy - its air tight so the only place u can sneek a lil smell is the gas coming from the airlock
