I planned on 75% efficiency (I got 77 last brew) but got 85%
Grain Bill:
6lbs 2-row (Cargill Canada) 2L
6lbs Maris Otter (Crisp) 4L
1.5lbs Biscuit (Dingemans) 22.5L
Hops:
1oz Chinook 12% pellet First Wort - 85min
.5oz Chinook 12% pellet 20 min
.25oz Chinook 12% pellet 5 min
1oz Cascade 7.2% plug Aroma 10 min steep
Misc:
.5tsp Irish Moss - boiled 60min
This isn't my first try at a recipe, but it will be my first IPA, and my first time making an IPA. IBUs are expected to be right about 50. Efficiency on this batch was much higher than I expected - 85%! This should turn out nice and tasty, we shall see anyways. I had planned on a ~6.8% ABV and looks like it will be more like 7.5-7.8%
Did I mention my mash tun is a 5 gallon round cooler?
