That is if one doesn't already exist. I did do a google search a month or so ago and came up with a name and email for one in Clawson, but I haven't been able to get in touch.
There are already 3 (2 serious and 1 semi) of us in the sub NE of Rochester and 14 mile intersection!
If there is enough interest we can check into possibly having some meetings at the Black Lotus. We frequent there often.
This would start out fairly relaxed, until enough people start stepping up and work on making the club legit. We are pretty busy right now with study/prep classes for the BJCP exam in the spring.
KGB seems to be getting a bit large and no other club is all that close, that's why we are interested in getting this kicked off.
Seems like a good step considering the increasing demand for craft beer and the growing interest in home brewing.
In case you're curious our(the 2 serious ones) experience in home brewing goes back to starting extract in 2007 and going all grain in 2010. In our first 2 competitions this past year we received two HM's and one first place. This spring we will be working hard to upgrade our setup from cooler MT and 1 keggle to 3 kegs, RIMS MT, HLT and Keggle.
So get a hold of me if you are interested. I'll probably bump this post every few weeks until the spring if needed.
Thanks,
Jesse
